* For a little bit more historically accurate paint colors, you can choose what is so called “The Jazz Age” of the 1920s, which are basically silvery grays, blues and purples. Keep the same theme of a light upper.
* To get the colonial revival look, whites and off-whites will be good for main color scheme and the additional, accompanying color can be that of the natural brick and wood for both the interior and the exterior. Other colors to accompany the main scheme could be light cream or dark, especially for the wall.
* Even though triple tones were popularized in the late 1800s, the early 20th century still saw two, three and even four paint colors in interior rooms. The usual pattern for the three tone-colored wall was usually a darker color on the lower portion and a lighter look above the wall trim. The third color, darker than both, might be used for the trim.
